A Little Bit About Me...
I was born in 1953 on a farm in Southern Missouri, Southeast of Doniphan. I’ve always loved hunting and fishing, and I was introduced to both before I was old enough to attend school. I remember tagging behind my dad and his big English Pointer, hunting for quail near the brushy fencerows. And I still recall the bite of the November air, the mad rush of wings, the roar of his Stevens, the sweet smell of gunpowder, and Queenie happily fetching another bird to my dad’s hand. Sixty-five years later, there’s still no place I’d rather be than on a lake or stream or in the timber.
I’m also an “aspiring writer.” I’ve recently finished two books of Spiritual essays and a novel, “Southern Ripley County.” There are numerous free essays and poems available on this website, and my books are available on Amazon.
I have also become an ordained minister, and I’m incredibly proud of that! Those who believe in God know that two of his greatest admonitions to us are - First to love Him and our neighbors, close behind is to preach the Gospel to every creature,
