Quiet Please
Quiet is a place in time I yearn to dwell and feel sublime
A time to contemplate my peace; a time to let my worries cease
I dim the lights, turn off the phone; this time’s for God and me alone
I thank him for his many blessings, and all my sins I’m now confessing
My sins of life I will repent because his son was Heaven-Sent
God sent his son down from above because of mercy, grace, and love
I pray for joy and peace and health, and not for fame and not for wealth
I pray for those who’re all alone; I pray for those without a home
I pray for those out on the street who’re cold and have not a thing to eat
I pray for those who are depressed and pray they’ll get some peace and rest
I pray for those in the Ukraine, who’re tortured by a man insane
I even pray for him as well to change his ways and stop this hell
May God forgive me of my sins, I ask in Jesus’ name – amen
